The Challenge

Little Waves Therapy needed a more robust website to properly showcase its range of therapy offerings, specializations, and treatment approaches. The existing one-page WordPress site made it difficult for visitors to explore the practice and provided very little insight into how people were using the website.

The Approach

I redesigned and migrated the site from WordPress to Next.js, expanding the experience from a single page into 20+ purpose-built pages covering therapy types, styles, specializations, and services. I also introduced Microsoft Clarity alongside improved tracking to understand user behaviour and use those insights to continuously optimize the experience and conversion journey.

Little Waves Therapy came to me with a website that was doing the bare minimum. While the existing one-page site communicated the basics, it didn't provide enough depth to properly represent the breadth of the practice or give prospective clients the information they needed to make an informed decision.

I expanded the information architecture into a comprehensive 20+ page website, creating dedicated content experiences for different therapy types, approaches, specializations, and services. This gave visitors clearer paths to relevant information while creating significantly more opportunities for organic search visibility.

The website was migrated from WordPress to Next.js, providing a faster, more flexible technical foundation while giving the site room to scale as the practice grows.

A major part of the project was improving measurement. The original site had minimal tracking, making it difficult to understand what visitors were doing once they arrived. I implemented Microsoft Clarity to capture user behaviour and identify how visitors navigate, interact with, and move through the site.

These insights helped inform ongoing improvements to the user experience and conversion paths, with the goal of making it easier for prospective clients to find the right service and ultimately book a consultation.
