Accessibility Statement
Kossman Designs is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Last updated: August 28, 2026
Conformance status
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is the standard required under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). We are partially conformant — most of the site meets the standard, and we are actively working to remediate remaining gaps identified in our August 2026 audit.
Known limitations
We are currently remediating the following:
- The contact form on the homepage — form labels are being updated to be programmatically associated with their inputs (WCAG 1.3.1).
- Some label text contrast in dark-background sections — being updated to meet the 4.5:1 minimum ratio (WCAG 1.4.3).
- The /about and /blog pages are stubs — they will be published with full content in the next update.

Technical approach
This site is built with Next.js and uses semantic HTML landmarks, ARIA labels where native semantics are insufficient, keyboard-navigable components, and visible focus indicators. Fonts are loaded with font-display: swap to prevent invisible text during load.
Assessment approach
Kossman Designs assesses accessibility through self-evaluation using automated tools (Lighthouse, axe) and manual review. A third-party audit is planned for Q1 2027.
Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility request, you may contact the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario.
